120 year old oak floor renovation

The client lifted the old carpet to reveal this beautiful oak herringbone and strip decorative floor. It was looking worn out and they were not sure if it could be restored. We checked the floor and concluded that it could be restored to its former glory with the exception of a couple of deep staining marks. The process involved lifting and relaying some of the loose boards and removing all the old carpet tacks and staples. After sanding we applied a primer and two coats of a satin finish lacquer.
